Stunning New Bridge Over River Avon Stratford-upon-Avon

One of the old boys I used to work with used to say;

“There is no finer sight than a freshly ploughed field, a newly battened roof and an elegant bridge”

I’ve seen plenty of ploughed fields, plenty of battened rooves and it now looks as though I may see a lovely, elegant new bridge across the Avon at Stratford-upon-Avon

A new bridge is being proposed as part of the Stratford-upon-Avon South Western Relief Road

Box Bridge

Which new bridge would you like to see in Stratford-upon-Avon

1. A traditional viaduct style bridge like the bridge as shown in image 1
2. A beautiful modern suspension bridge like the bridge shown in image 2
3. A fantastic Sydney Harbour style bridge like the bridge shown in image 3
4. A semi-enclosed box bridge with vertical slats like the bridge shown in image 4

Update:
It’s looking like option 3 – Bridge Over The River Avon

    1. I like number 1 for tradition but would like some assurances that The Greenway walking path will not be closed nor impeded during its construct.

  1. My choice is version number one. It is far less intrusive to the eye and view of the landscape. It conveys the impression of “going somewhere ” in a direct fashion.

  2. It’s looking like being a combination of 1 or 4 and 3

    1 or 4 for the elevated section over the floodplain and 3 for the actual bridges over the river and greenway.

    Or it could be option 4 for the whole structure
